Open Data
Because sharing data between the Fund’s sectors and outside parties is both important and sensitive, and to support integration and make services easier to deliver to citizens and residents, this policy sets the basis for data sharing. It addresses the main challenge in sharing data: striking the right balance between sharing data to help deliver quality services and keeping that data confidential.
1- Purpose
This policy sets the standards for sharing all data the Fund processes and/or controls, to provide the best level of data protection. Fund data must be shared only through the Data Management Office, by authorised users and approved systems, to prevent misuse of the data.
2- Scope
This policy applies to the Fund’s data and to the sharing of data these bodies produce – with other government bodies, private parties or individuals – whatever the data’s source, form or nature. This includes paper records, emails, data stored on electronic media, audio tapes, video, maps, photographs, manuscripts, handwritten documents, or any other form of recorded data.
